What we do

Three practices, one balance sheet.

Most of our clients use more than one. They are run by the same people, in the same building, against the same mandate — which is the only reason it works.

Sterling and euro sit side by side in one place, so money moving between London and Riga is a transfer rather than an undertaking.

Everyday banking

The ordinary parts, done properly.

A balance that is correct to the cent, a statement that adds up, and a card you can freeze from the same screen you noticed the problem on. None of this is remarkable. Enough banks get it wrong that it is worth saying.

Freeze in one tap
Lock a card instantly and unlock it just as fast. Nothing is cancelled until you say so.
Payments you can see
Every transfer carries a reference both sides can quote. Pending is shown as pending.
Limits you set
Per-card monthly ceilings, contactless and online switches, changed by you at any hour.
Statements that reconcile
Running balance on every line, exportable, with the value date the entry actually carries.

How we work

Four steps, and then very little drama.

  1. 01

    An introduction

We meet before anything is opened. You tell us what the money is for; we tell you plainly whether we are the right bank for it.

  2. 02

    A written mandate

What we may do, what we may not, and who signs for what — set down in a document you keep, not buried in terms you accepted once.

  3. 03

    One banker

You are given a name and a direct line. They know your file, and they are the person who answers when you call.

  4. 04

    Review, twice yearly

Performance, fees and drift against the mandate, in a single document you can read in ten minutes.

“They told us not to move the trust to them. It would have cost us more and gained us nothing. That is when we moved everything else.”

Segregated by default

Client assets are held apart from the bank's own balance sheet and reconciled daily.

Strong authentication

Every payment out of the bank is confirmed on a second factor. No exceptions for convenience.

Answered by a person

There is no queue and no menu. The number reaches the desk that holds your file.

We take on a small number of new clients each year.

An introduction begins with a conversation, not a form. Tell us a little about what you are looking for and we will arrange one.
